My thanks go to these two clubs who gave up their course for the whole day and catered for well over a hundred twenty meals. Cath Andrew and her team did an excellent job in organizing the car park at Truro.
Flag Day at St. Austell on August 1st was once again well supported with 108 ladies from 18 clubs. The winners for the second year running were Mandy Wright and Jane Rowse from Perranporth with 43 points winning on count back from Nova Cauwels-Wigan and Rita Fenwick from Carlyon Bay.
September brought us to our Autumn Meetings, the Bronze held at Merlin with 30 players from 11 clubs. The winner of the Handicap Cup and Aggregate Cup was Lynn Innes from Falmouth. Amanda Harvey from Launceston was the runner up of the Handicap Cup.
Bude was the venue for our Silver Autumn Meeting unfortunately we only had 28 ladies from 8 clubs playing. The weather was dry but the wind made playing conditions very tough. Home player Collette Burgess won the Handicap Cup with a net 75 followed by Caroline Hume-Kendall from St. Enodoc with a 77. First scratch went to Jan Sargeant from Perranporth followed by Nikki Hodge who also won the Aggregate Cup.
